Mountain Song


Sometimes some things ain't  so obvious 
Some things just take some time
I guess i was a little too busy
Too many things on my mind
Then a splash of ice-cold water
To my un-suspecting pride
I realized my purpose here
My role in this play called life 

I wanna move up to the mountain
To be closer to the sky
I want to carry you there with me
And we'll watch the world go by
We're gonna build us a little cabin
Where the smoke trickles out the top
I wanna get on a bus called happiness
And ride to the very last stop

It all seems so simple now
Why the shape of a clock is round
Day after day those hands will turn
As the sun comes up and down
And we're all running on our own treadmill
The one we call the daily grind
And we all have the power to turn it off
It's all just a state of mind
